What we Do
We do all the work
Sequoia's business model is simple: Two partners, each with over 20 years of sell-side deal experience, do all the work on your deal. We do the strategy. We do the market and channel match. We interact with each potential acquirer from the initial outbound call, to their saying “yes”.  We negotiate the terms and execute the transaction to deliver superior value to our clients.

We deliver quality service
Others claim quality of service as their distinction.  We deliver it because we focus on results for each and every client. We don’t live off retainers. We don’t amortize risk over a large “portfolio” of clients. We strictly limit the number of deals we work on at any one time. That is how we deliver premium transactions. 

We maintain a low profile
M&A practice is built entirely on word-of-mouth from our “graduates”.  These “graduates” are CEOs, key executives and Board members (often venture capitalists) of companies we have represented for sale.  In each case, these visible industry leaders tell us that they were “delighted” with our work and with the results we achieved.

We focus on you 
We take on a maximum of four clients at a time.  We are laser-focused on each client company.  Our clients tell us that they knew we were totally dedicated to their transaction – we were never distracted or too busy to prioritize their needs.

Sequoia has delivered premium transactions for an extraordinary group of clients over a 20 year period.  Since 1986, we have worked on complex deals in up markets and down markets; in recessions and booms; in bubbles and busts. Every situation is different. Every company, market and economy is unique. Throughout, we have delivered premium results for our clients.

What we do not do
We don't bait and switch
We have no junior people to hand a client off to after being retained.  The two of us do the work.  All of it.  And both of us work on every client. There is never a time when a client is talking to someone he or she doesn’t know or working with someone junior.

We don’t quit
We have never bailed out on a client.  Sequoia invests a great deal of time in each client and want to see the transaction completed for them and for ourselves.  We work through the tough times with our clients and facilitate their developing a premium transaction, no matter how long or how hard the road we travel together.

We never work with more than four clients at one time  
Sequoia’s two founders work on every client assignment, and the number of clients we handle is strictly limited to four at any one time (and usually less).
